The most affordable PAWdicure Services around!
Servicing Joint Base Lewis McChord and surrounding areas
What do you offer?
I offer mobile pet nail trims- this includes dogs, cats, small animals & exotics,"Feline Mani/Pedis" (cat nail caps), teeth brushing, ear cleaning, paw pad moisturizing & anal gland expression.
"How does it work?"
I trim your pets' nails in the comfort of their own home. Cats are either held by their favorite human, cradled in the Pawdicurists' lap, or gently wrapped in a towel ( if necessary). Dogs can be held by their favorite human in a comfortable spot in the house. Exotics can either be held by a favorite human or the Pawdicurist.
"What paperwork do I need to show?"
Dogs & cats MUST be up to date on rabies per state law! I will need to see a rabies certificate for each dog/cat at the first appointment.
"Do you clip or file nails?"
Dogs' nails are trimmed with traditional professional groomers' nail clippers and filed using a Dremel. If your dog is scared of the Dremel, that is ok! I will hand file each nail. Filing leaves a smooth surface and allows to get dogs' nails much shorter than a traditional nail trim. Cats' & exotics' nails are trimmed using traditional professional groomers' nail clippers.
"How long does the appointment take?"
The first appointment will vary-I do not rush through a nail trim or Feline Mani/Pedi and I will take as long as needed. Your pets' comfort & safety is my #1 priority. Returning clients should expect a time frame of 20-30 minutes per pet (again, this varies from pet to pet).
"Do I need to be home for my appointment?"
I require that an owner be home for each appointment.
"How often should I have my pets nails trimmed?"
Most pets do well on a one, two, three, or four week schedule. For Feline Mani/Pedis, it will vary from cat to cat. On average the caps will stay on for 3-6 weeks.
"I can still hear my dog's nails clicking on the floor after a nail trim. Is there any way to fix this?"
Yes. The longer you wait between nail trims, the longer the quicks (the nerve and blood supply in the nail) grow. I can get the quicks to recede with frequent trimming. If you are wanting your pets' quicks to recede, I recommend bi-weekly or weekly nail trims until the quick has receded (which will vary from pet to pet).
"What areas do you service?"
JBLM, Lakewood, DuPont,Lacey, Olympia, Spanaway, Hawks Prairie, Yelm, Tumwater
I will also service other areas as well, please inquire for more info.
